Handmade Sword is a well-known and authentic hand-forged sword company. We are professionals specialized in hand-forging Japanese samurai swords. Offering a full range of Katana, Wakizashi, Tanto, and other sword accessories, all of our swords are handmade in traditional ways by skilled and experienced swordsmiths.

Our swords utilize traditional forging methods, including Heat Tempered and Clay Tempered processes. All Handmade Sword blades are full tang, engraved with the signature of the swordsmith, and can be fully disassembled and reassembled. Most of our functional blades are made of high carbon content steel, while we also offer blades made of stainless steel or aluminum alloy for Iaido training swords.

Regarding the fittings, most are made of brass. For the Tsuba (hand guard), we use copper, brass, iron, or alloy, depending on the individual design. The handles and Saya (scabbard) are made of wood or other specified materials, with most handles covered in rayskin and Japanese cotton Ito.

Each Handmade Sword purchase includes an assembled Katana Sword with Saya, a black cotton Katana bag, and a tube cardboard Katana box.

We offer a variety of blade types to suit different needs:

1045 Carbon Steel: 45-50 HRC hardness, sharp blade 1060 Carbon Steel: 50-55 HRC hardness, sharp blade 1080 Carbon Steel: 56-59 HRC hardness, sharp blade 1095 Carbon Steel: 58-63 HRC hardness, sharp blade Iaido Aluminum Alloy: Unsharpened blade Iaido Stainless Steel: Unsharpened blade

All our sharp blades feature a real Hamon (temper line) and Bo-Hi (blood groove), except for the 1095 Carbon Steel model, which lacks the Bo-Hi.

One of our featured products is the 1045 Clay Tempered, Damascus, Quality Japanese Samurai Katana Sword. It is fully hand-forged, featuring a Musashi Tsuba, full tang, sharp edge, and is a functional sword. The approximate dimensions are a 28.5-inch blade, 11-inch handle, and an overall length of 41 inches. The wooden handle is wrapped with rayskin and black cotton cord, with Menuki accents. The Saya is a black piano-lacquered wood with a black Sageo.
